Plagiarism

" Pearl " left the following as a comment . For some reason it is not in the Comments section of my Control Panel , hence the answer here :

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Clare Fonda":

With having so much content and articles do you ever run into
any issues of plagiarism or copyright infringement? My site
has a lot of completely unique content I've either written myself or outsourced but
it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my agreement.
Do you know any methods to help stop content from being stolen?
I'd really appreciate it.

I think your site is in Japanese , so I am not a 100% certain that the following will work :

  • You can talk to the site or their ISP
  • You can send what is known as a cease and desist letter
  • You can ignore them , they generally go out of business
  • I had 2 rather nasty sites in England do this a few years ago , so I " borrowed " some of their sites ( Google or otherwise check that they have not stolen the material first ! )
  • Put some errors on your page and correct them after they have been copied .
  • Don't get involved in a Email or other web " war " with them , it is not worth it .
Hope this helps , Perl
