Fake Spankoz Email and Sify.com SPAM

Be carefull of any Email received along the following lines , it is a fake :

" Dear user of the spankoz.net mailing service!

We are informing you that because of the security upgrade of the mailing service your mailbox ( XXXXXX@spankoz.XXX ) settings were changed In order to apply the new set of settings click on the following link: .......................................... "

Delete these Emails and DO NOT OPEN ANY LINKS !

The Shame of Sify.com

Talking of fraudulent SPAM Email , in our experience www.sify.com email accounts are the most popular amongst these Spammers and Fraudsters . Sify does little to stop fraud , now they send this response to SPAM complaints made to customercare@sify.com :

" Thank you for contacting Sify Customercare. This is an auto-generated mail to acknowledge receipt of your mail. Rest assured that our Customercare team will reply to you within 24 hours. Thanks again for writing in to Sify Customercare. Best Regards Sify Customercare "

No one can rest on Sify promises , this month 9 emails were reported , 9 auto responses received ( as above ) and nothing more has happened .

All American and some European Email providers take action when SPAM is reported , accounts are closed on the spot and they let you know that action has been taken , but not Sify .

( 23 October , 2009 ) I have reported an Email to Sify , it has an obviously forged header . Will Sify pick this up ? Do they bother investigating ? It saves Sify money when they do nothing . $5 says this is the last we hear of this Email ( Auto Responders excluded ) .
