" Christian " Domestic Discipline and the OTK Spanking Position

I have a fairly strong basically " Christian " faith , it helped me to fight off cancer . I have problems with religions , churches and , for that matter , countries who place themselves above other religions , churches and countries . Religion has it's place in advising not controlling society , especially in areas involving sexuality .

" Domestic discipline " ( DD ) also presents problems for me , particularly if there is an absolute " Head of Household " in the relationship . I know that these relationships do work , there may be effective checks and balances and the discipline may not be excessive . I do wonder if the best relationship is despotic , tempered by appropriate ( either way , depending on the occasion ) spankings . One system of DD is the Spencer Spanking Plan , another is Femdom ( which I also believe has problems ) , but does work in some relationships .

But when these two concepts are combined , there are many assumptions and assertions that are called facts . Most of the " Christians " involved appear to be fundamentalists who have a very one eyed view of the World and Society . ( Islam has it's share too , recently it was discovered that several fundamentalist Australian Imams were illiterate ! ) I object to much of what is in Leviticus , etc. . Yet , the bible is said to give the husband complete authority to beat his wife , but the wife does not have the same right . In other words , I believe that if partners want this type of relationship it is up to them , it is not preordained by God . When this " authority " is extended to beating children , it becomes very offensive , as witnessed by the current criminal cases in the U.S. involving , of all people , Pastors . Anyway , I got off on this tangent because I was drafting a posting on the " OTK " spanking position and found a page on a " Christian " DD site which more or less , and with the above caveats , says it all .
