Hairbrushes are near to my heart , my hand and , alas , also my bottom . They were the weapon of choice in 1950/60s homes , ideally suited to OTK spankings administered by women . The sight of a hairbrush generally improved behaviour ( for a while at least , well then but maybe not so much now in the bedroom ) . Clothes and some bath brushes will be be included here . Nowadays , it is difficult to find a decent wooden brush for adult spanking purposes . EBay and second hand shops are a good source of supply .

" Paddle " style hairbrushes are popular , the one above is from Amazon . It appears to be one of the better ones with well rounded corners , although I am not sure of it's size . One thing to look for is the quality and thickness of the wood , the cheaper ones will split up the middle . Generally , repairs can be made by partially removing the rubber cushion and pouring a good amount of epoxy resin into the brush . First , clamp the sides together and place the brush on its back , making sure that as the epoxy is poured in and that it is thickest across the break in the middle . When the epoxy has set , remove the clamp and remove any excess that may have seeped through the crack with very fine wet and dry sandpaper ( or you may choose to wear it down through use ) . The cushion can be re glued with contact cement .
