Sorry for absence . Blame medical profession ' s promises re operation delays - lower spine has shattered ( L5/S1 ) . I have bought a so called smart phone . You will have to bear with me while I get used to it .
The Sydney Seige is still going on , only one unstable gunman is involved , even is using the wrong flag . The main problem is working out what explosive devices he has .
Back soon .
Merry Christmas.

Bun Beating Fun - Vivian

One would think that BBF's model problems would have been sorted out by now . It appears not to be so :

" But hey, she's the money grubbing agent who sent some of her most troublesome models our
way and for that alone this high highfalutin witch earned herself a truly royal butt blistering.

Bun Beating Fun

" Pearl " left the following as a comment . For some reason it is not in the Comments section of my Control Panel , hence the answer here :

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Clare Fonda":

With having so much content and articles do you ever run into
any issues of plagiarism or copyright infringement? My site
has a lot of completely unique content I've either written myself or outsourced but
it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my agreement.
Do you know any methods to help stop content from being stolen?
I'd really appreciate it.

I think your site is in Japanese , so I am not a 100% certain that the following will work :

  • You can talk to the site or their ISP
  • You can send what is known as a cease and desist letter
  • You can ignore them , they generally go out of business
  • I had 2 rather nasty sites in England do this a few years ago , so I " borrowed " some of their sites ( Google or otherwise check that they have not stolen the material first ! )
  • Put some errors on your page and correct them after they have been copied .
  • Don't get involved in a Email or other web " war " with them , it is not worth it .
Hope this helps , Perl

HMAS Perth and USS Houston

The Australian Broadcasting Commission has reported that what remains of the WWII Destroyer Perth is being stripped by bounty hunters and sent to China . This can not be allowed to happen , it is in fact a War Grave and should be protected by Indonesia ( in whose waters she now lies . )

Pearl Harbor was attacked on Dec 7 , 1941 . The Heavy Cruiser Huston and Perth were sunk in the darkest of days in 1942 ( 28 Feb ) after taking part in the disastrous Battle of the Java Sea . These sinkings were to become known as the Battle of Sunda Strait . The two ships were greatly outnumbered from the start . Many who survived the battle to die in Jap prison camps . Total losses from both ships were over 1,000 men .

We must ask / tell Indonesia to stop this desecration now . A list of contacts is below .

The story is the subject of the book " Proud Echo " , Angus and Robertson , Sydney and London , 1953 ( No ISBN . ) Hardcover , 157 pages .

Nelson Mandella ( Madiba )

There is a lot more about Nelson Mandella ( Madiba ) to be found on search engines ( Google etc . ) . The British BBC is also a good source at present .

The white South African Government tried to suppress all material about Mandella in the 50s and 60s . Many white Americans believed the propaganda about his supposed communist sympathies . He was a member in the early days , just as he would accept help from a variety of other sources , after exhausting all other avenues . The lie about his later connection was corrected , in part , by the awarding of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal .

As he said many times he was not a saint , but he did hold South Africa together after playing a major role in the downfall of apartheid ( separate development , white and black ) . He was prepared to take the long view , changes such as he brought about can take decades and a certain preparedness to do whatever it may take . He stayed with his principles . It is worth noting the range of political leaders assembling today in South Africa and that Madiba stopped two potential civil wars , black on white and later black on black . He showed that power could be peacefully transferred between administrations after years , not decades .

Madella's work still goes on . Corruption is a major problem throughout most of Africa and unfortunately South Africa is no exception .

I should mention that Australia played a significant role in bringing down apartheid through sanctions applied both within and outside the British Commonwealth . Investment sanctions were the most effective and were the ones that brought the then President F. W. de Klerk to the table .

I acknowledge many sources , some are mentioned above and live Australian television coverage of his release from the Victor Verster Prison ( from memory , his release went on for hours with many false starts . I still remember the single camera shot of the main wall and gates and his eventual walking out through them punching the air with his then wife . )

I noticed that many commentators at the Service said that he founded the Military Wing of the ANC , which is not correct , he took it over after the police shot and killed the Wing's founder . Most bombings etc. took place when the target would be closed , i.e. outside of normal business hours etc. and casualties would be eliminated or at least reduced , unlike the present day Middle East where the aim is to kill and maim .
